Sustainable Food Systems for Healthy Diets in Europe and Central Asia-A joint FAO/WHO Regional Symposium and initiative in collaboration with UNICEF and WFP , 4-5 December 2017, Budapest, Hungary

The regional symposium “Sustainable Food Systems for Healthy Diets in Europe and Central Asia” will be a joint FAO/WHO regional symposium organized in close collaboration with UNICEF and WFP and it will take place in Budapest on 4-5 December 2017 (Danubius Helia Hotel, Kárpát u. 62-64, 1133).

The regional symposium will provide an excellent platform and opportunity to explore policies and programme options, countries’ good practices and experiences conducive to sustainable food systems that deliver diverse, safe and nutritious food for healthy diets for all. NEW interactive FAO e-learning Course: ”Improving Nutrition through Agriculture and Food Systems” available free of charge, as a global public good, through the FAO e-learning Center at: www.fao.org/elearning/#/elc/en/course/NFS
This course was developed by FAO in collaboration with the World Bank and European Union, and with technical inputs from many partners. It illustrates the linkages between agriculture, food systems and nutrition, and provides concrete examples of opportunities for integrating nutrition into food system policies, investments and programmes.
